Côte d'Ivoire is facing a serious maternal and child health crisis that requires urgent mesures to improve the management of deliveries. In 2021, the maternal mortality ratio was 520 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births, which was 20 times higher than the target set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
